The BLS course is a level 2 qualification in basic life support. It aims to provide the knowledge, skill & confidence to administer basic life support for adult casualties. This is primarily focused around delievring CPR but can include other subjects to meet the requirements of your setting.

Basic Life Support Course Outline: 

  • Assessing and monitoring vital signs: Learn how to use vital signs to assess and monitor a casualties condition.  
  • Be able to recognise cardiorespiratory arrest: Learn to recognise the signs ofcardiorespiratory arrest
  • Know how to summon emergency help: Learn how and when to call for emergency assistance 
  • Administer CPR with use of an AED: learn and demonstrate the skills required to administer CPR and use of an AED
  • Other skills to suit needs: Any other learning topics to suit your organisation can be included at your request

  • How long is your first aid at work training course?
    This first aid for sport training is completed in half a day day and will take around 4 hours in total. Our trainers will come to your office on the day, all you need to do is turn up ready to learn!

  • How many people can attend this First Aid at Work course?
    We can tailor any training course to your organisation’s needs, including the number of attendees. However, there is a maximum number of 12 people per qualified trainer. If you have larger groups we can accommodate this with extra trainers. Get in touch to discuss your needs.

  • What clothes should I wear for this first aid course?
    Our Basic Life Support Training is a practical course so we recommend wearing clothes and footwear that are comfy and easy to move around in.

  • What is the difference between Basic Life Support and emergency first aid training?
    This Basic Life Support course is a scaled back version of our Emergency First Aid at Work course, focusing on the primary survey and CPR.
