Forestry First Aid Near You 

The 1 day EFAW+F  is Level 3 qualification suited for those wanting to train their staff in basic emergency first aid with additional content covering catastrophic haemorrhage specific to forestry operation.

The course is recognised by HSE and will help meet the first aid training requirements as set out in The Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.


It aims to provide the knowledge, skill & confidence to administer basic first aid for a range of high risk forestry situations.


This First Aid at Work Training Course is valid for 3 years upon completion and is available for learners over 16 years old. We can deliver our training courses across Sussex, Surrey, London, Oxfordshire and the South East.

Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry Course Outline:  

  • Understanding the roles and responsibilities of a first aider: You will learn what a first aider is required to do and what your responsibilities are in a given situation.
  • Assess an emergency situation: Learn how to assess any emergency situation in order to give the appropriate first aid and help ensure the best outcome.
  • Manage unresponsive casualties (including CPR): Learn how to provide appropriate emergency first aid to unresponsive casualties, including how to administer CPR should it be required.
  • Recognise and assist a choking casualty: Choking can kill. Learners will understand how to recognise the signs of choking and how to effectively assist a choking victim.
  • Administer first aid to a casualty with external bleeding: From minor cuts to significant bleeding, you will learn how to administer first aid and apply dressings.
  • Manage a casualty who is in shock: Learn how to quickly spot the symptoms of shock in a casualty and administer first aid.
  • Administer first aid to a casualty with burns: From minor scalds to major burns, learn what to do to provide first aid to a burn casualty.
  • Managing minor injuries: Learn how to manage and treat minor injuries that are commonly found in the workplace.
  • Managing hypothermia and hypertermia: Learn how to recognise and treat a casualty with an increased and lowered core body temperature  
  • Administer first aid to a casualty with catastroiphic haemorrhage: Recognise and treatcatastroiphic bleeding including the use of tourniquets & hemostatic dressings.

    This emergency first aid at work course is completed in one day and will take around 7 hours in total. Our trainers will come to your office on the day, all you need to do is turn up ready to learn!

  • How many people can attend this Emergency First Aid at Work course?
    We can tailor any training course to your organisation’s needs, including the number of attendees. However, there is a maximum number of 12 people per qualified trainer. If you have larger groups we can accommodate this with extra trainers. Get in touch to discuss your needs.


  • What clothes should I wear for this EFAW course?
    Our Emergency First Aid at Work Training is a practical course so we recommend wearing clothes and footwear that are comfy and easy to move around in. Depending on weather conditions this course can include outdoor scenarios, outdoor clothing advised.
